Già negli anni dell’apprendistato, il compositore padovano dà prova di aver assimilato la lezione di Richard Wagner e di Johannes Brahms, giocando sapientemente con gli impasti timbrici e tessendo una trama sinfonica che rivela precoce maestria nel trattamento della polifonia orchestrale.

Already in his apprenticeship years, the Padua-born composer showed that he had assimilated the lessons of Richard Wagner and  Johannes Brahms, skillfully playing with timbral mixtures, and weaving a symphonic texture that reveals a precocious mastery of orchestral polyphony.
